                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
                   AGREEMENT WITH WATT & ESTES, INC. FOR
                   PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES
                   IN CONNECTION WITH THE REPLACEMENT OF BRIDGE
                   #33-C891-080 ON OLD DAYTON PIKE OVER
                   NINE-MILE CREEK, FOR A TOTAL COST NOT TO
                   EXCEED THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED SIXTY AND
                   NO/100 DOLLARS ($3,960.00), WITHOUT PRIOR
                   APPROVAL.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       execution of an Agreement with Watt & Estes, Inc. for providing
       professional engineering services in connection with the
       replacement of Bridge #33-C891-080 on Old Dayton Pike over
       Nine-Mile Creek, for a total cost not to exceed $3,960.00, 
without
       prior approval, which cost is 12 percent of the Tennessee
       Department of Transportation's estimated total cost of 
$33,000.00.
